That Weekend by Kara Thomas

★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆

I should have known when I realised there weren't many clues to go by. Yes, there was a twist — it's always all about the unexpected, isn't it? Not this time. I jumped into this, eager to know what this whole situation was all about, how our main heroine, Claire, got so terribly injured on the mountain and all alone, so much so that she lost her memories. I didn't get into this book to be given such an ending. For all huge lovers of crime mystery, I believe you'll be sorely disappointed with this book. It is wonderfully written to include some aspects of abuse, however. They can be so hidden that it is difficult to see, and very easy to bluff away.
